Mental Health Professionals: Stay Up-to-Date with These Resources

This is a collection of mostly free or low-cost sources of mental health information resources for mental health professionals. These resources include full-text journal articles, search tools, clinical news services, reference materials, and media.

The links are mostly annotated as to the general nature of the resource and its quality and scope whenever possible.

At this point, the fullest listings are in the more general and major resource areas, and those pertaining to special purpose tools, news, and reference.

You can post resources you feel are relevant to any of the lists as a member (registration is free).

The OUTLINE in the sidebar shows the structure of the directory. You can use it to navigate and browse. You can also use search.

Tiny Overview

The PsychIN Directory™ at PsychInnovations.com

The PsychIN Directory™ links mental health professionals to mostly free or low-cost reading, research, and resources. It includes tools for research and reference, specialized news outlets, specialized collections, and major portals.

Structure & Organization

The PsychIN Directory™ is a similar to a links directory, but readers can comment and there is more information about most listings. You can simply search the directory, but it also has an outline structure (in the sidebar) and other navigation aids.

Tips

If you want the big picture, use the General part of the directory and the Reference, Search and Research Tools. If you're researching a specific subject, use the Topical listings.

Each listings page allows you to comment. Add a resource visitors should know about.

See Tips, for more about using the directory.

Tips: Get More From the Directory

Take Advantage of these Helpful Features

Specialized: This directory is very specialized, and has hand-picked resources for mental health professionals, so you may be able to save a lot of time in finding search tools, free journal reading, literature research help, clinical news, tools, and reference materials. The resources are annotated, and you can add your own comments and resources to the pages.

Tools: Don't miss the Special Purpose Resources area that contains a good variety of Reference, Search, & Research Tools. This might be your favorite part.

Help from the outline: The directory has an outline structure designed for mental health professionals. But this outline can help you browse and discover resources.

Bread crumbs: Above the text, a feature called bread crumbs shows you the each topic that is a level higher than the previous one, going right to left, until it says "home." Home is the Psych In page that includes the directory and various topical articles and blog posts.

Page crumbs: Below the resource text on each page, text tells you where you were, what's next (in the outline sequence), and "up," where you can go one level up in the directory structure.

You see these navigational crumbs even if you got to the page by searching.

Freshness dating: Most links include a month/year at the end of the annotation. This tells you when the link was last checked by a human. Even if a long time has elapsed, most links will still be good, because they mostly go to major, established, and reliable resources. However, it's also likely that the resource has more than was found at the time of the last visit.

YOU: Please add and discuss resources in your comments. An editor will integrate the resources into the directory based on these comments. The member community can be a strength of the directory.

Why a Directory? Why Use This Directory?

Problems with search engines and unfocused directories: You may not even know about them, but search engines such as Google and Yahoo have a directory structure. These directories only contain a tiny fraction of what's on the web, but that are human-powered listings. But, as of this writing, they have two serious flaws that inspired this directory.

1) Without a specific audience to design for, these scatter resources that seem to belong together among a number of similar or nearly identical topics within a massive database that attempts to embrace all topics on the Internet.

2) With little useful annotation, ODP can still leave you searching and sifting too much.

3) The listings can be affected by politics and profit motive among the various personalities in charge of each category.

By the way, the directory that is re-branded and used by some major players is actually known as the The Open Directory Project (ODP).

Why not just use Google? Even though human-selected resources such as The Psych In Directory™ cannot approach the volume contained in automated search engines, this directory can quickly get you to sites that serve as high-quality launch pads for your search. Even though Google prides itself in using sophisticated means of determining what sites to list first, professionals can waste a lot of time wading through the outdated, uninformed, and commercial sites.

Mission of the PsychIN Directory™

Relevant to Mental Health Professionals: The PsychIN Directory™ is a free site that helps mental health professionals find relevant, high-quality information quickly for free or low cost when possible. A well-crafted outline, helpful annotations, and members' contributions support this mission.

Primary Objectives and Features

1) Help clinical and other mental health professionals stay up-to-date. The directory helps visitors save time and focus their effort by collecting materials that best support this mission into a News and Timely Reading Zones area that links visitors to free online material of broad relevance to mental health. To make scanning for information even more efficient, this area divides into General and Clinical primary areas, and into more focused Topical areas. Visitors save time and money through access to mostly free information, quality screening, and large collections. They also save time because The PsychIN Directory™ has selected relevant subtopics from news resources that have many other, less useful topics to sift through.

2) Provide mental health professionals with convenient links to good, relevent reference, search and research tools. The Special Purpose Resources area includes this subject. Annotation, organization, screening, and pointers to other useful areas of The PsychIN Directory™ support this mission, as do additional links to search areas of major sites, journals, and collections. The sections in this area divide into topical areas as well as covering more general resources.

The Design of the Outline

The Directory divides into two primary areas: Topical and General. Some additional specialized topics (such as Search & Research Tools) also live at the top level in the hierarchy.

The General area holds resources that are not focused by topic, and so they are divided by their function. News and Timely Reading Zones is an example. Once you are in a functional category there, it divides into broad topical categories, such as Clinical.

Back to the top level, the Topical area holds resources that are focused on a specific subject. It's carefully organized into subtopics to make drilling down easier. In the Tips area, the topic "Drilling, Searching, and Getting the Most from The PsychIN™ Directory" gives good pointers.

Of course, you can always use the search box. The Tips area has help for combining search with features the outline makes possible.

The Technology and History of the Directory

Drupal: This part of PsychInnovations uses Drupal, a CMS (content management system) that is free and open source.

History: The directory started on my hard drive years ago in a personal outliner called Action Outline. I adapted the outline to the web using Free Mind and software that made it more functional. But is was too unwieldy for users, they could not easily contribute, and it was hard to maintain. So, in early 2007, I begain transferring it into this format. I had to deal with some very challenging things, so it was not until June 2010 that it was in good enough shape to promote.

Outliners: Outliners are very valuable for collecting information. They're even better for finding it again! Some are simple, some are very advanced. Some synch with your smart phone. ListPro is one, and it allows quick sorting on various categories that you create. However, I rely almost entirely on Microsoft Word's outline functions. If you don't know about it, look in the help file and you'll be surprised at its versatility. I have written numerous books and courses for publishers using the outline function. Try View | Outline and you can drag, expand, collapse, and use styles (Format | Styles) the levels independently. In Help you can find the keyboard shortcuts.

See Outliners and Mindmap Software here at Psych Innovations for many examples and links.

Outliners and Mind Map Software: A Really Thorough, Annotated List

I'm a big fan of outliners and mind mappers

I use List Pro for lists that benefit from advanced sorting, such as contacts, and because it synchronizes with PDA's, as well as Action Outline, which has no note size limit, and is hailed for it's ergonomics. But it is way behind the times, so I can't recommend it. I am increasingly relying on Word for outlining because of the psychological writing that I do (articles, continuing education courses, books). Word actually has a very rich outline feature (accessed from the View menu). This list was started in Wikipedia, but was removed (2/07) because it included programs that are for sale. I haven't seen such a complete list anywhere so I'm posting it here, with modifications and updates. I don't know all these programs, but it looks like pretty much all those listed are among the higher-quality programs. YOU can help out by posting your thoughts and additional programs and resources. The last section of the list has "multiple platform" programs, meaning that some of them operate in Windows in addition to other systems. Don't forget to look there.

Did You Know?

Word has an outline function that allows a side-panel outline view (Document Map) and automatic level-sensitive formatting via the style commands (another aspect of Word that a lot of people don't know about). Click Outline from the View menu.

The PsycIN Directory of Mental Health Resources

Interested in outlines AND mental health? I have an outline of mental health resources that lives at here: www.PsychInnovations.com/dir/, and that is being imported into a more advanced set up (with searching and a better outlining function) here: www.PsychInnovations.com/psych. It's special focus is on free reading, research and news sources.

Resource Highlights: Notable and Easily Overlooked

There are a number of special resources and topic areas that one could easily overlook. Here are a few of them.

Not Just for Psychiatrists

Medscape is not just for psychiatrists. It has much free content and special features such as free continuing education credits with documentation you can print as soon as you complete the lesson. You can register for a customized experience. Sign up for the psychiatry home page, even if you aren't a physician, because this is where the mental health topics reside. The focus on medication is very strong, so don't expect a well-rounded clinical resource. Nonetheless, it covers the full spectrum of diagnoses.

Clinical Consultation and Support

You may already know that much practical support can come from discussion forums, but in The PsychIN Directory's™ Discussion Groups, Forums area includes forums created specifically for getting input from experts. Medscape and MHSource are the ones as of this writing. (11/04)

Much information on what helps or harms people with psychiatric, psychological, cognitive, learning or behavioural problems is conflicting and out of date. The Mental Health Library is designed to address this by making the best evidence available in a single resource.

The Mental Health Library comprises the full text of all relevant Cochrane systematic reviews, the first ever study-based register containing hand-selected and coded trials, assessments of guidelines and several other collections - including an economic evaluation database.

Ovid's Personalized Update services have this goal: to keep you current so your work can go further. Our plan is the development of various "opt-in" tools that will find and deliver the most up-to-date information on the subjects important to you - instantly.

Topical Resources

Unlike the General area, this section, Topical, takes you only to topic-centered sources. The broad categories here, such as Disorders, help you drill efficiently into specific subjects. Each of the broad categories is defined, so you can see the difference between, for example, Field of Interest and Practice Topics.

Topic-centered resources with special purposes such as news or reference, are also clustered in the appropriate Special Purpose areas.

Disorders & Diagnoses

This topic holds resources concerned with specific mental illnesses, psychopathology, syndromes or disorders. The disorders are not limited to those recognized by official bodies. No endorsement of any disorder, treatment, or definition is intended by The PsychIN Directory™.

Specific disorders may fall under a broader category, as dyscalculia falls under Learning Disorders. Disorders may reasonably be perceived as falling under more than one category. In all cases, The PsychIN Directory™ attempts to make the disorders easy for clinicians to access when using the structure of The PsychIN Directory™.

See Also

Issues such as sexuality and populations such as children are in the Issues and Populations area. Resources related to these will address specific disorders, but not primarily address a specific disorder or diagnostic category, unless it is as broad as disorders of childhood.

Methods and Modalities of Psychotherapy may hold methods that primarily pertain to treatment of a of a specific disorder or distinct class of disorders, but resources in that category primarily identify themselves as pertaining to a therapeutic approach.

Related Areas

Also see the Issues and Populations area. It holds issues such as weight management and populations such as teens. Of course the resources in that area may address specific disorders like this section does, but Issues and Populations resources specialize more in an issue or population than a specific diagnosis or disorder.

Also see Methods and Modalities of Psychotherapy. Although some resources there may address a method that is intended primarily for a specific disorder, all resources in Methods and Modalities of Psychotherapy primarily address one or more specific therapeutic approaches.

History of Anxiety Treatment

Anxiety-Panic History: Anxiety, Disorders and Treatments Throughout the Ages, Arthur Anderson

"Welcome to the Anxiety-Panic History web site. This site features a collection of historical notes from a variety of literary sources. These notes are arranged chronologically (order of historical occurrence) in an effort to display the changing and evolving perspectives of anxiety and anxiety disorders throughout the ages."

"Much of this web site's content was originally featured in early versions of the ASAP Dictionary of Anxiety and Panic Disorders; dating back to 1996. Development of contemporary aspects of the ASAP Dictionary was wonderfully supported by many people. However, the "chronology" (historical section) received little attention and was mainly a product of my own interest in the history of anxiety disorders. Consequently, when developing the latest version of the ASAP Dictionary, I felt the historical issues were better addressed in an independent web site with a clear focus on history."

Domestic Violence Treatment (dv-treatment)

This group has been fairly active, and does not adhere to the ideological gender paradigm. As of this writing, it has not had a strong clinical focus in the sense of discussing psychotherapy. However, there are very informative posts and there are experts among the membership.

"Domestic Violence Treatment (dv-treatment) is a group of mental health professionals and paraprofessionals from around the world who treat male and/or female perpetrators of domestic violence.

We have no particular clinical orientation, nor do we support one form of intervention (group, individual, couples and family therapy). We discuss clinical theory and techniques, legal and ethical issues, diagnosis and current research in the field. We also discuss the related fields of child maltreatment, trauma and substance abuse, as these issues often overlap with domestic violence.

This is not forum for people having problems with violence, anger and emotion regulation. For support and assistance you may consider joining "angertoolbox" or "MensIssuesOnline." Just use the search function to find and join these groups.

Right now this group is open to anyone who wants to join. Because the discussion of domestic violence can evoke strong emotions in people, all we ask is that you discuss these issues respectfully with other members. Yahoo! Groups guidelines will apply.

We hope you enjoy Domestic Violence Treatment."

Mental Health Profession Topics

This area holds diverse topics pertaining to the field of mental health, professional issues, and business topics that are of interest to professionals and students in the mental health field. Many of the subjects are key to effective, legal practice. As you can see from the outline, they range from evidence-based practice to getting a job.

Some of the topics are less obviously clinically relevant. For example, the clinician who does not prescribe medication or conduct testing may use information about such topics to make better decisions or assist clients in understanding their medication, their relationship with their psychiatrist, or the significance of their test results. Often, providers of medication or testing are not skilled in communicating with clients about sensitive matters, or do not see it as a responsibility.

Therapists often find themselves in the position of go-between or interpreter. For example, a client may be very upset that their psychiatrist is keeping them on a medication that has side effects instead of trying another. The therapist explains that it often takes time befor the side effects subside so the doctory and patient can really know whether the medication is appropriate. Many clients come in not having been told such basic things (or not having heard it the first time).

There's more here than meets they eye, because the mental health field has quite varied demands. For example, therapists and social workers often provide resources to clients that are financially distressed and homeless. See the Clients, Assisting section for resources to help full that need.

Access to Treatment, Involuntary Treatment (Mental Health)

This section is for mental health professionals seeking resources pertaining to treatment access and involuntary treatment (including advocacy for changes in laws concerning involuntary treatment). This is a contentious area, especially for those advocating looser standards for involuntary treatment. They have very good, rational arguments, and they have many examples of tragedies that support their point. Please explore with an open mind. There may be a best answer, but there's no one right answer.

Treatment Advocacy Center (PsychLaws.org)

A national nonprofit organization working to eliminate barriers to timely treatment of severe mental illness.

Briefing papers, resources. Focus is on legal aspects of compelled treatment and related issues with advocacy for certain types of compelled treatment and against criminalization of mental illness. Includes materials for the public and media.

Some of the more interesting resources, as of this review:

Briefing Papers

For clinicians, most information appears to be basic, however, statistics and other information on the extent and nature of outcomes of system deterioration and legal obstacles are very informative and could be useful for presentations. Much material of use for public understanding of mental illness.

"Current federal and state policies hinder treatment for psychiatrically ill individuals who are most at risk for homelessness, arrest, or suicide. As a result, 40 percent of the 4.5 million individuals with schizophrenia and manic-depressive illness (bipolar disorder), an estimated 1.8 million people, are not being treated for their illness at any given time.

"The Treatment Advocacy Center is working on the national, state, and local levels to educate civic, legal, criminal justice, and legislative communities on the benefits of assisted treatment in an effort to decrease homelessness, jailings, suicide, violence and other devastating consequences caused by lack of treatment.

"Founded in 1997, the Treatment Advocacy Center serves as a catalyst to achieve proper balance in judicial and legislative decisions that affect the lives of persons with serious brain disorders."

Example comment: "Approximately 40 percent of all individuals with severe mental illnesses (i.e., schizophrenia and manic-depressive illness) are not receiving treatment at any given time. A major reason why so many severely psychiatrically ill individuals are not being treated is that, because of the effects of the illness on their brain, they lack awareness of their illness."

Assistance for Mental Health Clients

This area holds resources for assistance to mental health clients, and others in need of assistance pertaining to their stress, disability, or financial problems.

Mental health professionals and social agency personnel must assist resource-poor clients in understanding and using community and financial resources. Clients with poor reading or computer literacy may not be able to use the resources directly, so they may need assistance in gaining access and wading through the requirements of agencies.

While we're on this topic, here's some food for thought. Is the definition of psychotherapy "a person who sits in a chair and talks to people?" How about mental health hospitalization: "An environment that is insulated from the reality of peoples lives outside of the dates of authorized treatment." Complacent, insular, and irrelevant are words I don't want in my epitaph. Although they could be better than some of the words that might end up there. Be relevant; think outside the room; what do your clients really need to secure their health and well being, and their children's futures?

Although there's plenty to read in this category, and I do indicate where a lot of that reading is, and whether it's consomer or clinician oriented, I also scooped up resources that you'll have to explore if the need arises, or turn over to the client, caretaker, social worker, attorney or whomever.

A Must Resource: United Way provides comprehensive directories on social resources in many areas.

They also have a links page with various resources that are, more or les, related to evidence-based practice and scientific review.

When I first looked in 2005, I noticed that many of the editorial board members were affiliated with Science & Pseudoscience Review in Mental Health. Prometheus also publishes The Scientific Review of Alternative Medicine, a peer-reviewed journal that claims to analyze the claims of alternative medicine objectively.

I'm just pointing this out because it seems like a lot of the people trying the hardest to criticique articles for their science basis often have poor scholarship. They give the impression they are in it for the rush of superiority more than anything else. What do you think? (8/2010)

HIPAA Documentation

Example Rights and Responsibilities Document (OK to reproduce and use)

By Laura S. Brown, Ph.D. ABPP

"Informed consent in mental health services is one of the most important and least understood concepts with which consumer/survivors must deal. Dr. Laura Brown has written the following document for her clients and has given Sidran permission to post it for reproduction and individual use. It is an excellent tool for survivor empowerment, providing practical application of the education and information Sidran advocates.

This document, which specifies the rights and responsibilities of both the survivor and the helping professional in a therapeutic relationship, represents a "high bar" in the ethics of psychotherapy. We encourage all participants in therapeutic interactions to maximize the safety and quality of trauma treatment by striving for this level of ethical excellence.

Please feel free to substitute your name (if used by a helping professional) or the name of your therapist (if used by a consumer/survivor), and specifics of roles, policies, rates, etc. agreed upon in a specific psychotherapy relationship.

We thank Dr. Brown for sharing this valuable tool for consumer empowerment."

About.com Areas

Since resource sites are a moving target, and About.com is no exception, the best way to find materials through their structure and guides is to start at the Health area (linked below). There you will see the obvious categories: Mental Health and Recovery/Addiction. There are also some important mental health topics tucked into other categories, such as Autism, ADD and Alzheimers in their Diseases/Conditions category. Notice I only got through the letter "A".

You can also search, and see what categories your search results fall into. The most useful sites probably fall into a highly useful category, and the guides that manage these categories tend to put a lot of elbow grease into them, providing articles on how to use their topical areas, and selecting resources of good quality.

Although About.com is primarily for the general public, some of the guides provide an area for professionals for some topics.

Since About.com, like any good major resource, is a moving target, I will not link into the specific areas here, however, I have done that in topical areas where professional resources were available.

Emotional Freedom Technique

This could get ugly. There are countless techniques that are innovative in some way. I promise if I go down that road, I'll make it a separate page. But I'm including EFT here because it is so popular, and because of the questions it raises. I think the theoretical basis for energy psychology is hokum, myself. But don't be thrown by any theoretical bases that you find outdated or irrational. Let's think "outcomes." Still getting you hot under the collar? Go to the Evidence-Based Psychotherapy section.

Law and Ethics, Advocacy, and Public Policy Pertaining to Mental Health

This area provides resources for mental health professionals. It covers a broad range of topics, from focusing on private practice to society. Resources range from guidelines and laws, to advocacy and activism pertaining to the mental health of the populace and the functioning of specific institutions or agencies.

You can select topics from the outline in order to navigate or browse.

Here's a question: Has there ever been a major breakthrough in ethics in mental health practice that was not triggered by lawsuits? The only one I can think of is confidentiality. If you can offer one up, please comment (and cite if you can), and I'll revise this (and anything I write on mental health ethics).

Ponder that question, and ask yourself what new ethical horizons should be explored, without waiting for lawsuits? One is assessment for cognitive deficits in terms of their case management and therapy and consultation implications. Now that there is more public awareness, I think it's a matter of time.

General

America's Health Insurance Plans

An industry site, replete with the biases you'd expect, but containing articles relevant to quality improvement, including mental health issues and practice issues. Because the articles are from diverse sources and include mental health topics, this is a useful site. As shown below, categories and search can help you focus your reading.

There are political topics on the Our Issues page. Could be creepy, in a corporate kind of way. There are some real political hot potatos here.

Tools and Techniques of Improved Medication Use and Patient Compliance, The scope is broader than the title. It's really a broad look at research on improving care.

This area gives immediate access to many studies (no, not theirs) on improving medical and mental health care, with a focus on quality improvement issues such as patient education. You can search, read a summary of their conclusions regarding the research overall, or view a directory by condition (an excellent choice for mental health clincians, see anxiety and depression in particular).

You'll be happy to know that much research here supports the contention that psychotherapy is a cost effective treatment component for mental illness. In managed care, where the fox is guarding the chickens, you just have to perk up with they say more is less.

Case management, quality programs, pharmacist involvement and patient education were also supported in areas such as appropriate medication use by patients, and appropriate drug management by PCP's. Various means of integrating care across specializations, such as promoting psychiatrist-PCP communication are supported. I don't want machines to think for us, but I'm glad to see a movement toward having automatic reminders in electronic patient records. Ask a human factors expert what they think of that, and odds are they'll say it will save lives and dollars.

"On this website, you will find nearly fifty scientific studies that focus on improved medication use and patient compliance, through varied intervention strategies – implementing disease management approaches, educating patients and providers, and monitoring and providing feedback about target populations."

The Medical Conditions Index has a good number of studies, and there are other pages accessable from the search area that provide other categories to focus your reading, such as patient education topics. Unfortunately, the titles only go to 2001. (as of 8/10). And I found no psychotherapy or mental health topics outside of the medical conditions index. They systematically reviewed the research and show their conclusions in plain, to-the-point English in a Brief, bullet point summary. Search the studies, includes directory topics regarding what works, what doesn't, and what needs more research. (8/2010)

Psychotherapy Approaches: General or Broad Categories

This area contains resources of interest to mental health professionals that pertain to broadly-defined approaches to psychotherapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). For now, it can also contain general categories of modalities, such as biofeedback.

I think there is some haziness in the field of psychotherapy as to what constitutes a modality vs. an approach, so please pardon they way that might affect the listings. Better yet, please comment and help reform this section as needed.

A sibling of this section is for more specific approaches that would fall within one or more of these categories, or that is less widely known and accepted. Of course, that can change a great deal from decade to decade. Did you know that, once upon a time, the majority of psychologists polled declared their theoretical orientation to be gestalt therapy?

So if you think something should be promoted or demoted in terms of wide acceptance, please comment.

Critical Incident Stress Debriefing

A Narrative Approach to Critical and Sub-Critical Incident Debriefings

Part 1 Part 2

A Dissertation by Joel Fay

"Narrative therapy utilizes an approach often referred to as externalizing conversations. This approach allows a person to view the problem as a separate from herself making it easier to recognize, understand and protest its influence. Externalizing helps people avoid becoming overwhelmed by a problem. When utilized in a Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD) context, the problematic behaviors and the meanings attributed to those behaviors are identified as belonging to the critical incident and not the officer.

This study resulted in the formulation of a narrative intervention called Narrative Interventions for Critical Events (N.I.C.E). The intervention, utilizes aspects of narrative and social psychology, and allows for a new non-problematic story to develop by helping an individual assign a different meaning to his/her role in a critical event."

Energy Psychology

The theory of energy psychology is a mishmash of New Age thought and a Western bastardization of traditional Chinese medicine initiated by chiropractors who called it applied kinesiology.

On the other hand, these techniques employ various active ingredients of psychotherapy, such as desensitization, that provide fabulous results for many people. They just attribute the results to a really fun alternate reality (which, in itself, is probably an active ingredient, so long as you really believe).

Candor aside, this is a page for resources of interest to mental health professionals regarding energy psychology. Techniques include emotional freedom technique (EFT), thought field therapy (TFT), be set free fast (BSFF), and many, many more.

"The term narrative implies listening to and telling or retelling stories about people and the problems in their lives. In the face of serious and sometimes potentially deadly problems, the idea of hearing or telling stories may seem a trivial pursuit. It is hard to believe that conversations can shape new realities. But they do. The bridges of meaning we build with others help healing developments flourish instead of wither and be forgotten. Language can shape events into narratives of hope." (8/2010)

Conference, Training Write Ups

These resources offer summaries or transcripts from conferences pertaining to mental health and clinical practice. This is a unique resource in that it may be possible to get depth, timeliness, or a slant on topics that are not easily found elsewhere.
Unlike the Online Courses area, these resources are available for immediate access without a means for credit. They are brought together here, because they tend to have multiple topics that are subject to change. Topical presentations or resources are found in the appropriate Topical area.
